Dwyer's Farmhouse

About Your Hosts. . .

Brenda and Terry Dwyer are beef farmers and live just down the road from "Dwyer's Farmhouse" on their own farm.  But they also work the land at "Dwyer's Farmhouse", so there is always something to be seen.  (there is over 400 acres of land to work between these two farms)  The Dwyers also have 50 cow-calf pairs. The cows calve mostly in the summer season now (June-ish), and you'll find the younger (year-olds) wandering around the fields at "Dwyer's Farmhouse."

Three of their children (Johanna, Grady and Jack) love to help out on the farm and have chores of their own; Sophie and Lydia are still a little young for chores, but Sophie has NO trouble putting everyone else in their places! While Lydia just lays out the charm...

Terry was raised on the family farm up the road past Killaloe, and Brenda was raised on the family farm a stones-throw from their land. They bought their farm in the mid-nineties, and "Dwyer's Farmhouse" in 2003.  Terry grew up farming with work horses, and still loves to work the land "old school."  So you'll meet their team of Percheron work horses named King and Dolly. Last year, Terry seeded over 18 acres of field with King and Dolly. And let's not forget the numerous barn cats and kittens that are well looked after by the children as well as the family dog 'Cleo'.

They look forward to giving you a wonderful farm experience!
